Total Project Cost: $2.4 Million
Year Completed: 2010
The City of Greenbush is getting a new Water Treatment Plant, designed by FS Engineering, Obermiller Nelson Engineering, and EAPC Architects. The new plant will put an end to the stained fixtures and clothing that residents had endured for years - the result of high iron levels in the area's water supply. Approximately $1 Million in water system improvements were completed first as a part of the project. Parts of the existing watermain were replaced and then looped to improve water quality and pressure. In addition, the City is replacing 16 gate valves throughout the water system, which will allow sections of the system to be isolated and shut off if necessary for future repairs.
FS Engineering completed the environmental assessment, preliminary engineering report, and design for the entire project. The total cost for the Water Treatment Plant and other water system improvements is $2.4 million. The project should be completed in October of 2010.
